Our Technology Solution
Discovery (published data):
-
Scientists at EmbryoDx have identified novel biomarkers indicative of embryonic health, laying the foundation for a safe and reliable device tailored for embryo selection.
-
Our findings show that metabolically active embryos influence the micro-environment in cultured droplets. Notably, healthier embryos present a higher concentration of droplet metabolites compared to those under stress.
Our Method
Crafting a method to assist in the selection of implant candidates by analyzing embryonic biomarkers requires strict specifications.
It must be:
-
Accurate in readings
-
Highly sensitive
-
Reliable in performance
-
User-friendly
This method must measure biomarkers within an extremely small droplet (5-20µl) where a singular embryo is cultured.
Building a prototype
The goal is to develop a benchtop prototype test, using field-effect-transistors (FET) arrays fabricated using conventional complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) processing techniques. EmbryoDx entered in a partnership with a US medical engineering company to develop such a method.
We expect the first prototype to be tested as soon as the 1st quarter of 2024 and to initiate experiments with human embryos as early as the 2nd quarter of 2024.

A robotic, automatic system with the sensitive probe will be inserted automatically into the 20 µl droplet to measure the embryonic metabolism biomarker.
Our Competitive Advantage
Non-Invasive Tool
We provide a non-invasive tool to analyze media characteristics from cultured embryos, filling a gap in the market and setting EmbryoDx apart from competitors.
Unprecedented Accuracy
Our technology is capable of measuring metabolites in cultured embryos using 5-10µl samples. The measurement is precise, accurate, and reproducible.
Embryonic Assessment
EmbryoDx's innovative methods complement tools already used by embryologists, increasing the probability of pregnancy and paving the way for a new era in embryonic assessment.
The Future at EmbryoDx: Innovations Ahead
At EmbryoDx, we are actively developing additional markers to diversify the applications of our unique technology, catering to emerging markets and addressing significant unmet needs. The capability to measure small-volume metabolites holds potential for a wide spectrum of applications in the clinic – from routine tests to advanced research methods.

By offering precise and accurate measurement tools in minute volumes of fluids or tissues, we empower healthcare professionals and researchers with deep insights into the root causes of medical conditions.
